“Liberal landscape”
The goal is to use this blog for thoughts on cities, transportation, libraries, and perhaps other subjects. I have a special interest in the ways that governments can make cities more appealing to people like me by building recreational paths and transit lines, and by using their regulatory authority to make cities denser and less automobile-oriented. In the American political context, it’s usually “liberal” governments that do this—hence the title of the blog. I am working, I acknowledge, in a well-trod area of the blogosphere.
